Author Guidelines
1. General Information
The Journal of Contemporary Research and Innovation (JCRI) publishes original, high-quality applied and interdisciplinary research articles that address contemporary issues in education, society, economy, policy, and innovation. The journal adopts a double-blind peer-review process to ensure academic quality and integrity.
JCRI is currently a national journal with international orientation, welcoming submissions from authors within and outside Indonesia. Manuscripts must be original, unpublished, and not under consideration by other journals.
2. Types of Articles
JCRI accepts the following types of manuscripts:
- Original Research Articles
- Applied or Empirical Studies
- Interdisciplinary Research Papers
Note: Review articles, conceptual papers without empirical grounding, and opinion-based manuscripts are not prioritized.
3. Language
- Manuscripts must be written in Indonesian and English.
- Authors are encouraged to ensure clarity and grammatical accuracy prior to submission.
4. Manuscript Length
- Article length: 5,000 – 8,000 words (including references)
- Abstract length: 100 – 200 words
5. Manuscript Structure
Manuscripts should be organized in the following order:
- Title
- Author(s) name(s) (without academic titles)
- Affiliation(s) and email address
- Abstract
- Keywords (3–5 keywords)
- Introduction
- Research Methodology
- Results and Discussion
- Conclusion
- References
6. Abstract and Keywords
The abstract must clearly state:
- research background
- Research objectives
- Methodology
- Main findings
- Contribution or implications
Keywords should represent the core concepts of the study.
7. Formatting Guidelines
- File format: Microsoft Word (.doc or .docx)
- Font: Times New Roman, 12 pt
- Line spacing: 1,15
- Margin: 2.5 cm on all sides
- Page numbers: Bottom center
8. Citation and References
- JCRI uses APA Style (7th Edition).
- Authors are encouraged to use reference management software (e.g., Mendeley, Zotero).
9. Ethical Considerations
Authors must ensure that the manuscript is original, free from plagiarism, and all sources are properly cited. Plagiarism checking will be conducted prior to the review process.
10. Peer Review Process
All submissions undergo double-blind peer review. Initial editorial screening evaluates scope, quality, and originality. Decisions may be: Accepted, Accepted with Revisions, or Rejected.
11. Open Access Policy
JCRI provides open access to all published articles to support the global exchange of knowledge.
12. Submission Process
Manuscripts must be submitted electronically through the journal’s Online Journal System (OJS).
